Ines Di Santo Spring/Summer 2015 Couture Bridal Collection – Gardens of Glamour

The lush greenery and rolling fields of flowers of the world’s most breathtaking gardens inspired Ines Di Santo’s latest collection for Spring/Summer 2015.

From dreamy canopies of wisteria to the endless rows of Provence’s renowned lavender fields, to gorgeous tunnels of greenery, the colors of nature astound the senses in these mystical settings and their influence can be felt throughout this season’s elegant designs.

While architectural patterns of Guipure lace appliques mimic magical botanical mazes and neat rows of meticulously aligned tulips, other gowns are accented with more free-flowing embellishment, reminiscent of the wilder, unhampered gardens of the English countryside.

Ostrich feathers add flirtiness to full ball gowns as shimmering clusters of opalescent paillettes recall dew drops on petals, catching the light in a dazzling display.

Inspired by glimpses and snippets from around the globe, love, exhalations of the soul, and stunning, stunning textiles, we are thrilled to unveil our beautiful new campaign captured in the ethereal island dominion of Kangaroo Island, South Australia.

As well as two international editorial photo shoots under our belt, and at least three more on the horizon beginning with Paris this week, it’s been a big year already for us here at Grace Loves Lace and we feel the very best is yet to come.

We’ve learnt that in order to maintain, you have to change; in order to evolve, you have to be discerning and intuitive; and in order to invent, you need talent, passion, originality, vision and guts.

Eschewing a fresh and unique take on the experience of getting married, we are proud to be the revolutionaries defining a new era of bride; the modern, free-spirited woman unbound by monotony and tradition.

So without further ado, we welcome you to our divine paradigm. This, is THE GOLDEN HOUR x

The ground was hallowed, the air un-breathed. It felt ancient, holy even, so much so that we found ourselves speaking quietly, individually taking moments to pause and just look around, drinking of the landscape.

It was the kind of beauty that makes you want to weep tears of quenched wanderlust, the feeling of having seen, felt, and awoken to things you have experienced only in your souls’ core and minds’ eye.

We trod carefully, every footprint de-materialising, immediately fading back to gold as we passed, as though Midas himself were rearranging everything back into glittering order.

The colours were beyond spectral colours, they were of another realm, unnamed, settling softly on our senses and rendering us spellbound, a catatonia of magnificence.

Every direction was a leaping postcard of perfection, you could scarcely stop yourself from reaching out and caressing the atmosphere.

Here in this heavenly realm, the pregnancy of focus, vision, inspiration, and excruciatingly hard work came to fruition.

We birthed nine long months of passion and dedication to bring to life our beautiful new collection, and it was the experience of our dreams.

With hand on heart we hope that it gives rise to a realised dream for you too, and as you plan your own hallowed wedding day, we aspire to join with you in making truly magical memories you will look fondly back upon all the days of your life.

French Designer Wedding Dresses: Rime Arodaky 2015

Erm this is a little bit of a wow post [aren't they all ;)] If you’re searching for an effortlessly cool wedding gown with an ethereal, romantic style. Stop right there. You may just have found it.

A contrasted collection

Lines are graphic, cuts are delicate, they underline the silhouette, it’s not about a chic bohemian spirit anymore even if the collection remains romantic with an even stronger sense of femininity.

It’s all about attitude, our muse is self confident, feminine, revealing her body with finesse and grace.

Like a tattoo, nude embroidered tulles brush our muse’s skin, the silk tulle following her steps like a mist. Floating lace and organza fall through, unveiling cleavage, uncovering her waist…

Back necklines plunge even further, arms are exalted, festooned with fine macramé lace and embroidered tulle, lengthening delicately her silhouette. It’s all about style and being edgy with graphical lazer cuts and raw-cut hems.

Wilderness Bride is a heritage inspired bridal wear label based in the Cheshire countryside. Dresses and accessories are meticulously crafted in the UK by the wilderness couture team using the best tailoring techniques.

Designer Stephanie Mitchell started Wilderness Bride in 2012 after working in the bridal industry for a number of years, Stephanie decided to branch out on her own to create her ethereal collections.

Stephanie takes inspiration from her countryside surrounding and likes to investigate old folktales and stories. Stephanie also chooses a season and an element for each collection to make that connection to nature as wilderness is all for natural beauty.

The ‘Dearest’ Collection was partly inspired by an old anonymous love poem, Miss Haversham from Great Expectations, Fire and Autumn and the history of the location from the shoot: Tabley House in Cheshire.

The collection is feminine and romantic and uses blush tones in a subtle way. With a strong focus on lace, the ideas was to create a quiet, simple elegance.

Wilderness Bride is now stocked in highly recommended and award winning boutiques across the UK. They also have some gorgeous capes, waistcoats and collars… ultra pretty!

Mara Hoffman Bridal Gowns: ‘Devotional Collection’

Mara Hoffman started her fashion life as a New York native before heading to London’s Central Saint Martin’s College of Art & Design. After her early success in 2000 with her collection entitled ‘Circle’, Mara rebranded simply to Mara Hoffman. With a love of batik design and pattern creating unique one-of-a-kind garments, Mara went on to release a swimwear collection too.

Mara has now branched out into bridal design with this edgy and unique ‘devotional collection’. This is the second offering. Think mythical goddesses with a contemporary bohemian twist using cut outs, fringing, sequin beading and geometric design. I love this collection and think you will too…

Mara Hoffman expands her bridal line and introduces her Devotional Collection’s Second Offering. The collection is inspired by nature and mythology, intended to be worn by the free-spirited devotees of love.

Delicately crafted from silk georgettes and chiffons, the gowns feature hand beaded and sequin embellishments, braided embroidery, and fringe detail. The collection consists of eight gowns, a sheer sequin veil, and a fringe dashiki.

The collection is available exclusively on MaraHoffman.com and pieces retail from $300 for the veil and between $550 – $2,200 for the dashiki and gowns.

Selene was the Titan personification of the moon, unsurprising then that her name means moon in Greek.

Athena (Greek)

Goddess of war and wisdom and domestic crafts. Athena has a great intellectual ability to see the true nature of a situation and to develop successful strategies.

Diana (Roman)

Goddess of the hunt and wild animals.  She later took over from Luna as the Roman Goddess of the moon, responsible for fertility and childbirth. Her name means “heavenly divine,” reflecting her celestial role.

Freya (Nordic)

Goddess of love, beauty, fertility, war, wealth, divination and magic. Her name comes from the ancient Norse word for lady or mistress.

Iris (Greek)

Goddess of the rainbow and messenger to the Gods. Her name means rainbow in her native language.

Hekate (Greek)

Goddess of the wild places, childbirth and the crossroads. She is closely associated with magic and witchcraft.  Her name is said to be derived from the Greek word hekas meaning “far off” describing her unworldly, shamanic nature.

Inanna (Sumerian)

Goddess of love, war, and fertility. Inanna was the personification of the morning and evening star.  Her beautiful name means “lady of the sky.”

Juno (Roman)

Goddess of marriage, pregnancy and childbirth. Her name is derived from the root yeu meaning “vital force” indicating a more youthful, maiden Goddess.

Persephone (Greek)

The formidable, venerable majestic Queen of the Underworld, who carries into effect the curses of men upon the souls of the dead.

2015 Wedding Dresses by Rembo Styling!

Rembo Styling is a Belgian bridal brand with a fresh, modern and relaxed look for the contemporary bride. A Rembo Styling gown would not look out of place in the bohemian setting of a barn or glamping site, but can also add a relaxed air to a more formal church wedding. The company works with a collective of four creative designers to produce a broad collection of gowns for the fashion forward bride.

Rembo Styling 2015 Designer Collections: Four Designers, One Brand

Les Adorées by Cephas

The Taiwanese designer, Cephas, a former student of the famous London fashion college Central Saint Martins, has created a compact capsule collection for Rembo Styling.

Cephas went back to basics to show his vision of the contemporary bride. “I strive for a feminine silhouette with which a modern bride can identify. The embroidery makes the difference, but is carefully dosed so that the result is never overdone. This is a new form of light luxury” comments Cephas.

Les Flous Chics by Amarildine

Géraldine Simonnet, the designer of the Amarildine collection, launched her first capsule collection for Rembo Styling three years ago. Her fresh, unaffected style was a big hit. This season the Paris based designer has produced a rather graphic collection.

A recurring element in this collection is the deep V which, while sometimes plunging to the waist, is never provocative thanks to the use of transparent layers. “Clothed nakedness” is an element the designer plays with frequently in this new collection and there is a great deal of attention on the back of the gown.

La Folie Douce by Manon Pascual

Manon Pascual’s style could be described as “natural romanticism”. Manon, who has her couture studio in Bordeaux, started designing gowns for Rembo Styling last year.

Romantic brides in search of an exclusive look love her unique style. For the 2015 collection she created 20 bridal gowns, including five short dresses. Some of the long dresses have a low waist, a modern interpretation of the gowns of the nineteen thirties.

Lace plays a central role in this collection. Sometimes she combines a pastel-coloured base in sea green or soft pink with a top layer of ivory-coloured lace, which makes for a very subtle colour effect. For Rembo Styling she has had an exclusive lace developed with a pair of birds.

“The collaboration with Rembo Styling was a lucky coincidence and is going extremely well. The people at the Portuguese workshop understand exactly what I mean and the gowns are finished with the greatest care. As Rembo Styling looks after the coordination and distribution, I can concentrate one hundred percent on the creation. This collection allows us to meet the demands of brides who are looking for original, refined styles but don’t have the budget for haute couture.” Says Manon.

Secret Passion by Ruth D.

Ruth did a Bachelors in Fashion Technology in Ghent and then Fashion and Styling in Antwerp. She joined Rembo Styling immediately after her studies and got to know the company by taking charge of some of the smaller tasks to begin with. After her compact collection enjoyed a lot of success last year, she was given the opportunity to design a bigger collection.

For the 2015 collection she uses guipure lace, a material that is automatically associated with haute couture. “I like to combine different materials and take care to ensure that gowns never become too heavy. Comfort is very important in my opinion; a bride should feel good in her gown. The pattern and sewing departments and the creative team are perfectly in tune with each other. This is vital to achieve good results.” Says Ruth.

At the head of the creative department of Rembo Styling is Alden Misolas. He is a graduate from the Antwerp Fashion Academy and he knows the bridal sector inside out. Alden coordinates Rembo Styling’s various capsule collections, so that they all form one broad, creative offering.

Rembo Styling is owned by the same company which owns Marylise Bridal . The company headquarters is based in Herentals, Belgium, not too far from Antwerp. The manufacturing is completed in the company owned, purpose built factory in Portugal allowing complete company control of all elements of the manufacturing process from design to delivery.

There’s something about California. Its mix of glamour and ease. Its incomparable views. A fondness for big, once-in-a-lifetime love stories.

This West Coast wanderlust inspired BHLDN to spend “A Day in the Sun” shooting our Spring II collection at one of the most beautiful and glamorous locations in the Golden State.

Built in the 1920’s, the Villa Sophia was once home to James Whale, director of cult-films like Frankenstein and Remember Last Night.

With its lush gardens, poolside greenery and spectacular views of the downtown Los Angeles skyline, the Villa echoes the Old Hollywood feel of our Spring II collection.

It provided the perfect backdrop for model Alejandra Alonso to play, lounge and pose in our stunning new gowns and wedding accessories. Alejandra was the ideal model for this shoot as she perfectly captures the essence of grace, sophistication, confidence and femininity possessed by the screen sirens of the 1950′s and 60′s. From Marilyn Monroe to Grace Kelly, Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren, the elegance of such icons radiates from her bright smile and overall effortless beauty.

Shot by photographer Signe Vilstrup, the resulting imagery features 8 new wedding gowns that steal the show with extra fine lace, intricate beading and unique back details. Enhancing the glamorous nature of the shoot are delicate wedding headpieces, glistening bridal jewelry, and breathtaking cover-ups that are perfect for taking any gown from day to night.

Are you as obsessed as I am with all the bhldn pretty? I’m due to renew my wedding vows in May, in the Caribbean (!!!!)  and I am so, so tempted…
